The Wild Frequency Retreat
A 7-Day Women’s Music & Creation Immersion in Mexico
The Wild Frequency is a studio-as-sanctuary.
A space where women explore voice, production, and creative expression without hierarchy — developing real skill while strengthening trust in their creative instinct.
Welcome
This is a week for women who make music — and women who are ready to.
For seven days, you’ll live between ocean and jungle — writing, recording, producing, collaborating, and resting inside a community of women who are tender with their process and serious about their craft.
We gather in an ecological retreat center with a professional recording studio on site — a space where you can move between ocean swims and vocal takes, meditation and mixing, journaling and jam sessions.
This is not a luxury resort escape. It’s something more intimate.
A place to slow down. Open up. Make bold creative decisions. And remember what your artistic voice feels like when it’s fully supported.
Who This Is For
This retreat is for women who:
● Write songs but want more confidence in the studio
● Play an instrument and feel called to produce their own music
● Crave deeper trust in their creative process
● Want to understand the technical side without losing their magic
● Long for artistic sisterhood instead of competition
● Desire time away to clear their head and actually create
You do not need to be a “professional producer.”
You might be:
● A seasoned artist wanting to refine your production skills
● A songwriter ready to step into self-production
● A creative woman who feels something inside her ready to be expressed
Wherever you are in your journey — you’ll be met there.
What We’ll Explore
Studio Confidence & Production Skills
Inside a professional recording studio, you’ll learn directly from experienced female producers, writers, and performers.
You’ll:
● Explore workflow and creative decision-making
● Learn foundational production tools and techniques
● Record vocals and instruments
● Experiment with arrangement and sonic identity
● Ask the questions you’ve been holding back
You won’t just watch — you’ll participate.
Creative Process & Artistic Trust
We’ll create space to:
● Write new songs
● Refine works in progress
● Journal and reflect
● Collaborate in small groups
● Share in intentional feedback circles
This is about strengthening your relationship with your creative instinct — not overriding it.

getting here
We are in Mazunte, on the coast of Oaxaca in Mexico.

We are equidistant from airports in Puerto Escondido (pxm) and Huatulco (hux). The journey from either airport to our place is about an hour. it costs about 900-2000 mxn, depending on number of people, your willingness to walk outside the airport, and negotiation skills.
Both Puerto Escondido and Huatulco have frequent flights to and from Mexico City. Puerto Escondido has some very inexpensive, direct flights from Tijuana on Volaris, which can be a good option if you’re in Southern California. You can park or be dropped off on the US side and walk across the Cross Boarder Xpress to the airport. It’s very easy to do.
Otherwise, you’ll get yourself to Mexico City, then book a short flight down to the coast. guadalajara, dallas, and chicago also have flights to huatulco. puerto escondido does not have any international flights. Most options will show up on Kayak, Expedia, etc.. Common airlines to the coast are Volaris, Viva Aerobus, and Aero Mexico.
Driving from Mexico City takes about 9 hours; 6 hours to Oaxaca City, then another 3 hours to the coast via a new super highway.
There is also the option to take the scenic route from oaxaca, over a very windy, but beautiful mountain road. If you have the time, I highly recommend a stay up there someday. Terraza de la tierra is amazing.
